Hey, How are you? I'm doing okay, could be doing better. How's everybody at home doing? I miss you. I miss watching cartoons with you and just hanging out. It's not fun being in trouble. Don't be a bad kid Jerry. You need to stay out of trouble and don't do drugs, Don't make the wrong friends. Stay out of bad gangs! Stay in school. Okay? Is Steve guilty?

I think that Steve is guilty because he couldn't make eye contact with his mom when the cops came to get him to take him down to ask him a few questions. When he was telling his lawyer after he went to the store to just look around when he was walking home he was thinking about what just happened to the clerk. That shows he feels guilty about what happened, he did it. Steve was in on the robbery. They planned the robbery but they didn't plan the murder so he was feeling guilty about killing the clerk. Steve wasn't telling the truth when he was saying he didn't do nothing.
